Week 1; Response 1
In a well written paragraph, tell me which character from the Outsiders you would like to be your friend. Use the BOOK with page numbers and paragraph numbers.
I would like to be friends with Ponyboy from The Outsiders. I would like to be friends with Ponyboy because in page two on the first paragraph it says Ponyboy likes to read and watch movies and I love read and watch movies. It also says he does not like to go to the movies with people and I usually watch movies and read by myself because I do not like it when people ask my a million questions while I am trying to watch a movie or read a book. I feel closer to Ponyboy than the other characters because he is around my age and we both have two brothers. I feel like I can relate some of the problems in my life to some of the problems Ponyboy has. Ponyboy would be a great friend. I agree he would be the best friend! ~Mrs. Best
Hey Jack, its Anders. Thanks for commenting on my wiki. It looks like we agree on the same character we would want to be friends with the same character if we were characters in The Outsiders. Ponyboy seems like a very nice friend to have and I think if we were characters in The Outsiders we would have lots of fun times with him. I also think I can relate to problems in my life that he also has. Ponyboy seems like a really cool guy. Week 1; Response 2
We all know that the fifth commandment is: Thou shall not kill. With that in mind, tell me what you would be feeling AND what you would do now if you were Johnny at the end of Chapter 4.
I would not want to be in Johnny's situation at the end of Chapter 4. If I was I would be very sad. I would fell bad that I murdered someone even to save a friend. I would think God was mad at me, but I would know God would forgive me. What I would do now if I were him would be hide in the old church and pray to God. I would ask for his forgiveness for months. It would be very tough to be in Johnny's situation. Does this sound like a good solution? Not to me. How can you hide forever?? ~Mrs. Best
Week 2; Response 1
B. Explain what Ponyboy finds out about Randy and the other Socs at the end of Chapter 7.
At the end of chapter 7, Ponyboy finds out something very important. He finds out that Randy and all the other Socs are just normal people and they do not all hate greasers. Randy tells him he doesn't want to fight anymore and that he wants the war between the two gangs to stop. Also, Randy feels bad for the greasers and how they do not have the same breaks the Socs have. Pony realizes some Socs and greasers are the same. Exactly. ~Mrs. Best
That is exactly what I think Jack. This paragraph is a lot like mine. I put that Socs and Greasers are just guys that are different from each other.~Nik R.
Week 2; Response 2
A. When we get to know people better, we usually like them more. If that's true, what could we do if we really don't like someone?
If we don't like someone we could spend more time with them. After spending time with someone, you might realize you have some of the same interests. You could do your interests together and maybe start to like each other. You never know what you have in common with people until you get to know them. You might not have common interests, but you can still be friends and hang out. If you do this you will meat a lot of people that you like to be around and that you can trust.
That is often what you realize when you get to know someone - you are really not so different after all. ~Mrs. Best
Hey Jack,
I really like your paragraph. I agree in what you said about hanging out with the person you don't like that person. I agree that you might have the same interests as the other person. The only thing is that the person may not want to hang out with you, but overall nice job on the paragraph.
Nice job
